I would like to thank the officers & committee for their invitation to judge the club open show & the hospitality on the day. Also to the exhibitors for bringing me such quality dogs to assess & the ring stewards for keeping everything running smoothly.

Veteran D/B
1st - Cepen Changing Places with Waterswarren
pleasing 7 year old dog, masculine throughout with good head & correct earset. Strong bone with tight feet. Well bodied with good muscletone throughout. Moved soundly. BV

Puppy Dog
1st - Melverly Buona Notte
headed a class of promising youngsters. Presents a lovely outline when stood. Loved his head & expression, clean neck & well laid shoulders. Super bone & body, moved soundly with purpose. I am sure he will have a bright future ahead
2nd - Peasblossom Nemesis at Jonabar
not the maturity of the winner but has time on his side. Lovely breed type, moved well once settled
3rd - Tryhard Walter Rayleigh

not in the best of coat, pleasing head & eye. Ample bone & good feet. Not quite the balance of the winner.

of good breed type, lovely head & expression, just needs to strengthen up in rear movement
2nd - Ziphill Flash the Cash
smaller framed dog, nicely made throughout, moved OK, just a little proud of his tail today

1st - Melverly Missionaire to Bethryn
cracking young dog, full of breed type, loved his head, ample bone & body, still needs to develop in loin which will come with maturity. Moved very soundly with correct tail carriage, pushed hard for top honours;
2nd - Melverly Desert Strike over Acregate
another pleasing dog with many attributes of the winner, good depth of body, covered the ground well on the move;
3rd - Ziphill Flash the Cash

Post Graduate Dog
1st - Dukedel Dream of Mine
loved this boy for breed type, lovely head & expression. So well balanced throughout, nothing exaggerated. Sound & free on the move. Just carrying a little too much weight today for top honours
2nd - Waterswarren Willy Wonka
handsome boy with ample bone & substance. Liked him a lot but had unfortunately dropped his weight which cost him today;

Limit Dog

strongly built male, presents a good outline. Pleasing head with dark eye, true front & well angulated rear. Moved out well with enthusiasm

loved this boy for breed type, well presented, just didn’t give his all on the move;

what an honour to go over such an outstanding dog. Hard to believe he is 8 years old, put down to perfection & good muscletone throughout. Lovely head with gentle expression, true front with good bone & feet, compact body with ample depth & ribbing, strong rear, moved very true & free covering the ground well with drive. BD, BIS
2nd - Sh Ch Meadowdale Alabama Slammer at Acregate
an old favourite of mine, looks a picture standing, strongly made without being coarse. Presented in good condition, not as enthusiastic on the move as winner. RBD
3rd - Sh Ch Jorobaden Alderniti of Emianna
4th - Chetruda Secret Asset

Special Beginners Dog
1st - Mompesson Tribute to Esscroft
nicely put together, would prefer more work in his head, ample bone & body, moved true

Minor Puppy Bitch

promising puppy of good shape with ample body of good depth. Moved out soundly;
2nd - Beresford Easily Tempted
very appealing puppy of good breed type. Moved out well once settled;
3rd - Beresford So Tempting

pleasing 11 months l/w with lovely head & expression. Nicely balanced throughout, with ample bone & body for age. Good hindquarters, moved out well

eyecatching l/w who is very well constructed, feminine throughout with good bone & feet. Sound effortless movement

Yearling Bitch
1st - Calvdale Duty Calls
lovely b/w with super bone & feet. Loved her head & dark eye. Compact body of good depth & strong loin. Looks a picture standing & didn’t disappoint on the move. RBB

3 year old l/w presents a good outline, decent head shape but would prefer a darker eye. Ample bone & body, well muscled, moved out freely

this young bitch ticked all the boxes for me, nothing exaggerated, with feminine head & dark eye, good reach of neck & lay of shoulder. Well ribbed body of good depth leading to strong loin & correctly angulated hindquarters. Very sound & free movement. BB, RBIS, I am sure she has a promising future ahead;

well presented feminine bitch with pleasing head & expression, strong neck with good body properties. Covered the ground well
2nd - Calvdale Festivities
stronger made bitch with many attributes. Moved out well, just preferred the overall finish of the winner

Calvdale Swag at Elbrec, presents a lovely outline with good bone & super feet. Adequate neck, well bodied & strong in loin. Moved out soundly.

Open Bitch
1st - Sh Ch Calvdale My Girl of Fallenleaf
of super breed type, excels in bone & body properties, lovely coat & condition. Sound mover but didn’t move out as well in the challenge which cost her dearly;
2nd - Sh Ch Trimere Tranquiliser at Bethryn
feminine throughout with beautiful head & expression. Excels in profile movement
